Piecemakers

“….to comfort others as God comforts us in our times of trouble…” based on 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Piecemakers is a charitable outreach of Community United Methodist Church in Brookville, Ohio.  You do not need to be a member of our church to participate.  Our projects include knitted and crocheted prayer shawls and comfort quilts given to anyone who is undergoing treatment for cancer, comfort quilts for the Homeless Shelter or anyone in need of a quilt. We provide baby quilts for the homeless shelter and Pregnancy Help Center in Darke County, and we make warming crib pads for newborns.  We also make walker carriers and clothing protectors for nursing homes.  As part of our local outreach we sell homemade items as a fundraiser to help support Brookville’s Handivan transportation ministry inside the Handivan Taco Booth at the Community Picnic.  We accept donations of fabric and yarn that we use in our projects.  For further information about Piecmakers, you may contact the church office at (937) 833-3262.

We provide comfort to others through sewing, knitting, and crocheting.  We make comfort quilts & prayer shawls for those facing health problems or other concerns  sponsor the Quilt Auction to benefit HandiVan, make hats for St. Vincent’s homeless shelter & Brookville schools, and sew dresses for children throughout the world.

Piecemakers meets weekly on Thursdays from 9:30am-3:30pm at CUMC on the third floor and is open to anyone wishing to help.
