There are exciting things happening in the music department of

Community United Methodist Church!

Whether you like traditional, classical, spiritual, or contemporary…CUMC has it all!

CUMC is very fortunate to have a talented group of muscians that perform in our Handbell Choir.  We are also blessed  to have a wonderful four-octave set of White Chapel English Handbells as well as handchimes.  Our 12-member Handbell choir not only performs for our worship service, but also participates in community events from time to time.

Our Chancel choir provides powerful and moving music for the worship service.  CUMC has a long-standing tradition of excellence in music, and our Chancel Choir is an important part of that tradition.  We perform joyous, energetic music as well as thoughtful,  reflective music in our worship services, praising and honoring God every step of the way.

Praise music is new to CUMC and a welcome addition to our now blended worship service.  Informally coined as “Mostly Not Sopranos”, the Praise Band is introducing new traditions in music for worship, using contemporary, scripture-based praise music.

CUMC always encourages and welcomes the talent of other musicians within our church to participate in the worship services numerous times throughout the year.  Vocalists, Liturgical Dance, Instrumental Soloists, even a Fiddler participate in our services to enhance the worship experience and Praise God.

We are always looking for new talent to join our ranks.  So if you can carry a tune, play an instrument or dance, we welcome you  to join us in any of our musical venues.
